Having just received an update from Paul Walsh and the Jungle Crows in Kolkatta, I thought it was time I did a blog post on all things KHELO.
KHELO Update
Paul sent me a link to a wonderful blog post written by a group of youngsters that had just visited them in Kolkata from Scotland. They were completing the service element of their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and it seems they had a great time. Winter Camp
Paul also reported that their Winter Camp at Christmas was a huge success, with more than 370 children attending on Christmas morning – CLICK HERE – to see all the photos from that.

Khelo Rugby is thriving in Kolkata with 15 Communities now playing regular rugby, learning and being supported.
Khelo Rugby Bangalore has launched under the direction of Zaffar and is growing quickly.
Jungle Crows Girls from Kolkata and Saraswatipur have made up all the players in the West Bengal 7s team and are today starting their adventure in India’s National Games.
Six Jungle Crows players have made it into the Men’s 7s for the West Bengal team in the National Games.
COACH NEEDED
The Jungle Crows are on the look out for a new Coach, for their Senior Team this season. The crows need an injection of enthusiasm and new ideas, with new training ideas … sound like your bag? Expenses etc are available for the right person, but this really is a fantastic opportunity for a young rugby player to immerse themselves in a fabulous culture, with some beautiful people. We – RuckinRugby – have now booked our exciting new 7s Rugby Team, the JCF Sevens for the 2015 Hartpury 7s Competition, so it’s all systems go! Alex the apprentice has been tapping up talent throughout the regular winter season here in Devon and we are confident of fielding a great mix.
The stash is in hand and we may even have some sponsors on board soon – watch this space!
